Wednesday, June 3rd Meeting – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Hey everyone!

So this one is going to be a little different. I am not able to be on tomorrow, I have something very important that I need to do and it is unavoidable. You will need to sign on at the time listed below and complete the work that I am posting 🙂 Answers need to be posted by one person on here in the comments section and we will discuss it on Thursday at the start of class. Please make sure you are all working together and giving input. This is a team project.

Star 1 – 4:

Question 1: Please list 5 things for jumps that get you better marks (please do not say arms 5 different ways lol)

Question 2: Please list 4 things that make a sit spin a high quality spin.

Question 3: What are some of the most important things in your solo besides required elements (required elements are jumps, spins and spirals)

Question 4: Please list the order of everything you need to do for a competition from when you wake up until you leave the arena.

Question 5: This one is tricky …. how do you set goals for yourselves as skaters?

Star 5 and higher:

Please choose a piece of music for a 13 year old Juvenile skater. She is a strong skater and a fast skater. She has no fear of performing.

Please choose the elements for her program and list them in the order you would have her perform them in the program. Explain your choices.

Write out a planned program sheet and post it (I know this can be hard – you may list it as:

1.

2.

3.

All the way until you have entered all the elements required.

Does she have any weaknesses or strengths and if so, do they reflect in the elements that you chose? Please be specific, especially with spins. After the code of the spin, please enter all of the positions in the spin.

Work together guys!

I can’t wait to see it!
